Trade Events

Exporting requires international planning, research and travel. Face-to-face meetings are just as important when conducting international business as they are domestically. We help Virginia companies develop relationships overseas through participation in international trade missions. Although there are fees for participation, these international events are offered at significant discounts.

What is a Trade Mission?

Simply put, trade missions are business meetings set up on your behalf. Based on information provided to us, by you, we set up face-to-face meetings for you. Participants benefit from pre-arranged meetings with potential buyers or distributors overseas. Every meeting matches each company's unique product and market objectives. Participants also typically benefit from translation assistance, meeting room coordination, in-country transportation and networking receptions.

Custom Missions Available

Don't see a trade mission to a country you need to visit? Custom missions are available through our Global Network. You can get logistical support, matchmaking assistance, a consultant to accompany you on your appointments or trade show support. Costs vary by country and the number of days that assistance is required. Please contact the Global Network Manager for an estimate.
